Abby is from the Gainesville, Georgia area. She began playing volleyball in middle school and played in high school for Lanier Christian. She is a former Lanier Club Program participant and continued her volleyball career at Truett McConnell University where she graduated with a degree in Exercise Science.  Abby brings enthusiasm and a wonderful defensive knowledge of the game to Lanier’s staff.  She has served 2 seasons as a Head Coach and 1 as an Assistant Coach for Lanier’s Club Program and also coaches in Youth and Summer Programs.

Ali Auffarth
Ali is from Gainesville, Georgia.  She began volleyball in middle school and played through high school at Gainesville High School.  Ali also participated in many years of club volleyball and is a former Lanier Club Program participant.  Ali is a positive, passionate and relational person who loves to connect with her athletes and fellow coaches.

Anarosa Crosdale
Anarosa attends Buford High School. She began playing volleyball in middle school and has also played for Lanier’s Club Program for many years. Angel Murphy
Angel was born and raised in Alabama.  She has lived with her husband, John, in Alabama, Tennessee, Florida and for the past 13 years, Georgia.  She has 5 children, one of whom plays in Lanier’s Club Program.   The whole Murphy crew plays multiple sports and enjoy sports and outdoors.  Angel grew up playing sports with her father who played volleyball in the Pan American games.  She started playing volleyball in elementary school and continued along with multiple other sports through middle school, high school, club and college (University of North Alabama).   Coach Angel also played college softball and even played 3rd Basement for the Puerto Rican National Softball Team!  With volleyball as her true sports love, she has been coaching since 2000 at the elite club and college levels as well as middle school.  Angel has served as a Head Coach and a Master Coach with Lanier for 2 seasons.

Bailey Towles

Bailey Towles
Bailey started playing volleyball in middle school and culminated her playing career with a starting role for 4 years on the varsity team. During her Senior season, she broke the 1000 assist record at Lakeview Academy. Receiving MVP Awards and being recognized for the All-Region Team during both her Junior and Senior seasons years are among her accomplishments throughout her volleyball career. Bailey also participated in 2 years of club volleyball.  Bailey has coached with Lanier since its inception in 2014 in our Developmental, Youth and Club Programs. Bailey is now a Special Education Teacher in the Hall County School System.  She also is the Head Varsity Coach at Johnson High School.  She looks forward to working with Lanier Volleyball Club each season to bring her passion and love for volleyball to the girls she coaches.

Bethany Ross
Bethany hails from Jacksonville, FL where she began playing volleyball in 6th grade.  She continued into high school where she helped lead her school, Christ Church Academy, to a state title her senior year!  Bethany has continued her playing career by playing as a Bear at Truett McConnell University.  She is studying Early Childhood Education and looks forward to being a teacher.  Bethany has coached 2 seasons with Lanier as an Assistant Coach in the Club Volleyball Program.

Bill Bush

Bill Bush
Bill grew up in Valdosta, GA and went to university at the University of Georgia. He began playing volleyball as a freshman in college when trying out for the UGA Club team. He played for 4 years at Georgia with experience as both an outside hitter and an opposite. He has been actively involved in the volleyball community here in Gainesville playing in several leagues over the past 6 years. Volleyball taught him a lot about the importance of a team, and he is excited to help continue to teach volleyball technique and tactics in a team setting.  Bill has coached at Lanier for 4 years and also serves as a Master Coach and Director for Lanier Volleyball Club.

Dakota Johnson

Dakota Johnson
Dakota is from McDonough, Georgia. She began playing volleyball in middle school and continued playing as an All-Area OH for Ola High School, A5 South Volleyball Club and as a Lion at Piedmont College. Dakota is studying Athletic Training and has a passion for teaching the sport of volleyball and for passing her passion onto her players. Dakota works with our youth programs as well as coaching with Lanier’s Club Program.

David

David Peake
David serves Lanier as its Director of Operations.  He has a heart for teaching children to be men and women who live productive lives as good fathers/mothers, brothers/sisters through working hard and improving at their sport.  David is a 6th Grade Social Studies Teacher in the Hall County School System.  He has an extensive coaching background including 14 seasons combined as a coach of High School baseball and little league as well as Middle School Football.  David also serves a Lanier Middle School League coach for East Hall during the spring.  As a teacher, he has his Masters in Educational Administration and Policy.  David brings to the table a true heart of instilling faith, family and character into the Lanier Volleyball Club program and his administration background lends a unique and helpful organizational and strategic knowledge to this plan.

Halle is from Kennesaw, Georgia where she started playing volleyball in middle school.  She played club volleyball in middle and high school at Cobb Atlanta and Crossfire clubs and is continuing her playing career at Toccoa Falls College.  Halle has 2 years prior club coaching experience from elsewhere.  Halle brings energy and passion for the sport of volleyball to the Lanier staff and has coached with Lanier as both a Head and Assistant Coach for multiple teams for 2 seasons.

Heather LaPrade

Heather LaPrade
Heather is from Acworth, GA. She was a 2013 honors graduate of Kell High School where she played volleyball as a standout both at school and in club.  Heather continued her playing career for 4 years as a Piedmont College’s Lady Lions Volleyball Team member where she was named to the USA South Academic All-Conference Team during the 2013 season.   She is a Doctor of Physical Therapy.  Heather has been a Head Coach with Lanier since its inaugural season in 2014; she also serves as a Master Coach and coaches in countless Youth and Summer Programs.  Coach Heather brings to Lanier Volleyball Club staff a passion for and an elite knowledge of the sport of volleyball.

Jessica began playing volleyball in middle school.  She attended Lassiter High School in Roswell, GA and played high school and club throughout her time there.  She continued her career at Piedmont College for 3 seasons where she continued her force on the court and at the net as a MB.  Jessica has been a Head Coach at Lanier for 3 club season and coached club elsewhere prior to coming to Lanier.  She also enthusiastically coaches in Lanier’s Youth and Summer Programs.

Jessica Wiggs
Jessica grew up in San Diego, California playing volleyball. During her last years of high school, Jessica relocated to Georgia  and her love for volleyball didn’t waiver. While attending North Georgia College and State University, Jessica played on both the intramural and club volleyball teams. Over the years, Jessica has had a variety of experiences coaching from assisting at the collegiate level to club teams to elementary camps. Jessica loves coaching for Lanier and has coached at the club, middle school and summer programs levels. Off the court, Jessica is pursuing her doctorate and works within the mental health field. Jessica believes that it’s important not only to build up the girls on the court but to build them up off the court and allow them to grow and flourish as individuals. Volleyball isn’t just about the game but how the game is played and how the life lessons grow you as a person.

Jessica Williams

Jessica Williams
Jessica has a heart for working with youth and young adults.  With her background in Developmental Psychology and the Lifespan, she was led into a career working with youth and young adults considered to be at risk, in guiding them to develop good, steady futures.  Her volleyball background is beach volleyball where she played coed doubles.  She also played 3 years intramural indoor volleyball during her college years.  Her love for volleyball was preceded by her mother and grandmother who both played volleyball.  She has a daughter who loves the sport and participated in Lanier’s Club Program both as an athlete and coach.  She has coached within Lanier’s Youth Programs and also in the Club Program for 2 years.  Jessica seeks to train young women not only in developing skills for volleyball, but skills for life.

Jordan Childs

Jordan Childs
Jordan hails from ‪Toccoa‬, Georgia and served as the Captain of the Varsity Volleyball Team at Stephens County High School. She played an integral role in the effort to jumpstart the volleyball program in ‪Toccoa‬. Jordan conducted private lessons and helped expand the knowledge of the game in Stephens County. During her high school career, she was named Best Offensive Player, Most Valuable Player, and Second-Team All-Region. Jordan was the first student from Stephens County to sign with a university to continue her volleyball career. She played as a Bear for Truett McConnell University as an OH.  Jordan  has served as a Head Coach in Lanier’s Club Program for 2 season.  She also coaches in Lanier’s Youth Programs and gives private lessons. Lanier. Jordan continues to show her passion for the game of volleyball by pouring into younger athletes. Jordan currently works along side Kaylee Crumley as the Assistant Volleyball Coach at Chestatee High School.

Jose Torres

Jose Torres
Jose has coached and played the sport of volleyball extensively including experience including at the recreational, club, high school, college and international levels.  He played for The Belgium SHAPE Team, The USA ALL ARMY, as an outside hitter, Club at The University of Tampa Florida, under coach Chris Catanach. AA / Open Club level both in Argentina and Augusta GA.  His passion is to develop athletes to achieve their highest potential.  In 2018 alone, Jose has conducted over 150 priate lessons for club and college level athletes.  He has coached club volleyball in Georgia for 3 years and is entering his 2nd year as a Head Coach with Lanier. Coach Jose’s passion for the sport and the development of our young generation is the fundamental reason why he is fully engaged with the sport of Volleyball.  He joyfully and faithfully has coached in many of Lanier’s programs including Summer, Youth and Club programs for 3 years.

Mary Beth Peake

Mary Beth Peake
One of the founders of Lanier Volleyball Club, Mary Beth has a true passion for the sport of volleyball. Her volleyball resume includes 7 years as a player and 14 seasons as a JV, Varsity and Club coach as well as countless hours of private lessons, camps and clinics. She has a heart for teaching young women about volleyball technique and tactics while impacting their lives to help them to be more successful on and off the court.  Mary Beth also serves as Director of Operations for Lanier and as a Head & Master Coach.  She has been married to her husband, David, for 10 years and has 3 precious children, Emma Grace, Isaac and Nathan.

Melinda DeCuir

Melinda DeCuir
Melinda grew up in a south suburb of Chicago, Illinois. She began playing volleyball in 6th grade and her passion for the game has grown ever since. She played as setter throughout high school and was actively involved in the intramural program at Liberty University and various recreational leagues post-college. She is excited to see her team’s love and talent for volleyball grow throughout the season. Melinda has had coaches in the past who have had a large impact on her life, both on and off the court, and hopes she can do the same for the team.  Melinda serves as a Head Coach for both the Youth and Club Programs and has coached at Lanier since its inception in 2014.  Melinda was recently married and lives happily in Gainesville with her husband Arden.

Rachel Selmore

Rachel Slemore
Rachel was born and raised in New York City.  She began playing volleyball during her high school years playing for both her school and club.   She continued her playing career in college at Ramapo College in NJ where she also coached in a local club program for 3 years.  Rachel graduated with a BA in Social Science and continued her coaching career at the University of Mount Union and another local club.  She now serves as the Assistant Coach at Piedmont College and has coached for 2 years as a Head Coach in Lanier’s Club and Youth Programs.  Coach Rachel enjoys helping her players develop the same love for that game that she has.
