David has a heart for teaching children to be men and women who live productive lives as good fathers/mothers, brothers/sisters through working hard and improving at their sport. He has an extensive coaching background including 12 seasons combined as a coach of High School baseball and little league and Middle School Football. David also serves a Lanier Middle School League coach for East Hall during the spring. He is also a teacher and has his Masters in Educational Administration and Policy. David brings to the table a true heart of instilling faith and character into the Lanier Volleyball Club program and his administration background lends a unique and helpful organizational and strategic knowledge to this plan.
One of the founders of Lanier Volleyball Club, Mary Beth has a true passion for the sport of volleyball. Her volleyball resume includes 7 years as a player and 10 seasons as a JV, Varsity and Club coach as well as countless hours of private lessons, camps and clinics. She has a heart for teaching young women about volleyball technique and tactics while impacting their lives to help them to be more successful on and off the court. Mary Beth also serves as Director of Operations for Lanier. She has been married to her husband, David, for 8 years and has 2 precious children, Emma Grace and Isaac, with one on the way!
Bill grew up in Valdosta, GA and went to university at the University of Georgia. He began playing volleyball as a freshman in college when trying out for the UGA Club team. He played for 4 years at Georgia with experience as both an outside hitter and an opposite. He has been actively involved in the volleyball community here in Gainesville playing in several leagues over the past 6 years. Volleyball taught him a lot about the importance of a team, and he is excited to help continue to teach volleyball technique and tactics in a team setting. Bill has coached at Lanier for 3 years and also serves as the Director of Youth Programs.
Abbey is from Grayson, Georgia where she attended and played for Grayson High School and was named to the Gwinnett All-County team. She also played club volleyball. Abbey coaches with Lanier’s Youth Programs and Club Program as an assistant coach.
Abby is from the Gainesville, Georgia area. She began playing volleyball in middle school and played in high school for Lanier Christian. She is a former Lanier Club Program participant and continues her volleyball career with Truett McConnell University. Abby brings enthusiasm and a wonderful defensive knowledge of the game to Lanier’s staff. She has served 1 season as a Head Coach for Lanier’s Club Program and also coaches in Youth and Summer Programs.
Alex has coached with Lanier for 3 years as an Assistant Coach with Lanier’s Club Program and as a Head Coach with multiple Youth Program teams. She also coaches in many of our Summer Programs and is the Head Varsity Coach at White County High School. Alex brings knowledge and passion for the sport to Lanier’s staff and works hard to provide every athlete she encounters with a positive experience.
Alex helps coach with Lanier’s Youth Programs. His desire to assist Lanier and join the coaching ranks was spurred on by his daughters’ love of the game and participation in Lanier Youth and Club Programs.
Anarosa attends Buford High School. She began playing volleyball in middle school and has also played for Lanier’s Club Program. Anarosa coaches with Lanier’s Youth Programs.
Anna is from the Gainesville, Georgia area. She began playing volleyball in middle school and played in high school for Lanier Christian. She is a former Lanier Club Program participant and will continue her volleyball career with Truett McConnell University. Anna brings great knowledge of the game and passion to Lanier’s staff and has served as a Head Coach for Lanier’s Club Program for 1 year. She also coaches in many Youth and Summer Programs.
Ashley is originally from Ohio and moved to Georgia in August 2013. She began playing volleyball in middle school, played 2 years of club volleyball with Queen City Crush, and attended Hamilton High School where she was a Team Captain and received a Student Athlete Award while attending. Ashley was a strong offensive setter for her high school team and then really began to love the libero position once she became more developed at her club. Now she enjoys playing local outdoor volleyball to this day.
After attending Eastern Kentucky University, she decided to pursue global missions work with Adventures in Missions. Since moving to Gainesville she has found herself pursuing local discipleship combined with the sport she loved so much at Lanier for two years now. She has a deep desire and passion for sharing skills while also remembering how to enjoy the game.
Bailey started playing volleyball in middle school and culminated her playing career with a starting role for 4 years on the varsity team. During her Senior season, she broke the 1000 assist record at Lakeview Academy. Receiving MVP Awards and being recognized for the All-Region Team during both her Junior and Senior seasons years are among her accomplishments throughout her volleyball career. Bailey also participated in 2 years of club volleyball. Her coaching experience includes working numerous camps during summers and coaching a developmental team for 2 seasons. Bailey has coached with Lanier since its inception in 2014 in our Developmental, Youth and Club Programs. She looks forward to working with Lanier Volleyball Club each season to bring her passion and love for volleyball to the girls she coaches.
Brooke is from Cleveland, GA. She began playing volleyball in middle school and played for White County High School for for its inaugural team as well as 5 years of Club Volleyball and played for Lanier since its inception in 2014. Brooke has coached with multiple season of Lanier’s Youth Programs and is an enthusiastic and encouraging coach who loves the sport of volleyball.
Cameron helps coach with Lanier’s Youth Programs. His desire to assist Lanier and join the coaching ranks was spurred on by his daughter’s love of the game and participation in Lanier Youth and Club Programs.
Camille attends and plays for Gainesville High School as a setter. She has played volleyball since middle school and also has played in Lanier’s Club Program for 3 years. Camille coaches with Lanier’s Youth Programs.
Chris helps coach with Lanier’s Youth Programs. He has coached many other recreational sports and is a talented referee for many sports as well. His desire to assist Lanier and join the coaching ranks was spurred on by his daughters’ love of the game and participation in Lanier Youth and Club Programs.
Dakota is from McDonough, Georgia. She began playing volleyball in middle school and continued playing as an All-Area OH for Ola High School, A5 South Volleyball Club and as a Lion at Piedmont College. Dakota is studying Athletic Training and has a passion for teaching the sport of volleyball and for passing her passion onto her players. Dakota works with our youth programs as well as coaching with Lanier’s Club Program.
Dovie attends and plays for North Hall High School. She has played volleyball since middle school and also has played in Lanier’s Club Program for 4 years. Dovie coaches with Lanier’s Youth Programs.

Emily Rose began playing volleyball in middle school, she played 4 years of club volleyball and attended Mill Creek High School where she was a standout receiving All-Area, All-County, Team Captain, 2x Student Athlete Awards during her tenure there. She continued her volleyball career at Belmont Abbey College in North Carolina while earning her degree in Early Childhood Education. While in her playing days, Emily was a force at the net as both a hitter and blocker (OH). Emily refereed and coached club ball throughout college and has a passion for passing on her knowledge and love of volleyball to young athletes – she has intimate knowledge of the game played at a high level and energy and coaching skills to match. During college, Emily returned home every summer to Coach for Lanier’s Summer Programs and also currently serves as a Head Coach for our Club Program.

Hannah is from Chickamagua, Georgia where she attended Gordon Lee High School. She began playing volleyball in middle school and continues her playing career as a Bear at Truett McConnell University in Cleveland, GA. Hannah has coached with Lanier’s Club and Youth Programs for 1 year.
Isabella attends and plays for Gainesville High School as a libero. She has played volleyball since middle school and also has played in Lanier’s Club Program for 3 years. Isabella coaches with Lanier’s Youth Programs.
Jamie helps coach with Lanier’s Youth Programs. His desire to assist Lanier and join the coaching ranks was spurred on by his daughters’ love of the game and participation in Lanier Youth and Club Programs and because of his ministry connected with his job working with students at Lakewood Baptist. Jamie has coached with Lanier’s Youth Programs for 3 years.
Jenna began playing volleyball in middle school, she played club volleyball and attended Brookwood High School where she was a standout receiving All-Area, All-County, Gwinnett Daily Post 1st Team, Team Captain and Team MVP Awards during her tenure there. She continues her volleyball career as a setter at Piedmont College in Demorest while earning her degree in Graphic Design. Jenna coaches for Lanier’s Youth and Club Programs.
Jessica began playing volleyball in middle school. She attended Lassiter High School in Roswell, GA and played high school and club throughout her time there. She continued her career at Piedmont College for 3 seasons where she continued her force on the court and at the net as a MB. Jessica has coach at Lanier for 1 club season and coached club elsewhere prior to coming to Lanier. She also enthusiastically coaches in Lanier’s Youth and Summer Programs.
Jessica grew up in San Diego, California playing volleyball. During her last years of high school, Jessica relocated to Georgia and her love for volleyball didn’t waiver. While attending North Georgia College and State University, Jessica played on both the intramural and club volleyball teams. Over the years, Jessica has had a variety of experiences coaching from assisting at the collegiate level to club teams to elementary camps. Jessica loves coaching for Lanier and has coached at the club, middle school and summer programs levels. Off the court, Jessica is pursuing her doctorate and works within the mental health field. Jessica believes that it’s important not only to build up the girls on the court but to build them up off the court and allow them to grow and flourish as individuals. Volleyball isn’t just about the game but how the game is played and how the life lessons grow you as a person.

Katelyn has coached with Lanier for 2 years in Youth, Summer and Club Programs.
Katie attends and plays for Flowery Branch High School as an OH. She has played volleyball since middle school and has played for Lanier’s Club Program f9r 3 years. Katie coaches with Lanier’s Youth and Summer Programs.
Kelsey played for North Hall High school in Gainesville where she was a defensive specialist. While in college, she participated in several seasons of indoor and sand intramural volleyball at the University of North Georgia. Kelsey’s coaching experience includes tenure as the former Head Coach for North Georgia Christian School’s (now Lanier Christian) middle school program and with Lanier Volleyball during Youth Program and Club seasons for 3 years. She loves competition and is finds great joy in helping young athletes reach their full potential. She is married to Zach, who also has coached with Lanier and they have 1 son. Kelsey has coached with Lanier since its inception in 2014 and now serves as a substitute Head Coach as needed by Lanier.
Krissy has been coaching volleyball in the club, high school and club scenes since 2007. She is a middle school teacher and is married to her husband, Dustin. Krissy has coached 1 season with Lanier and served in both Club and Youth Programs.
Megan is from Gainesville, Georgia. She started playing volleyball in middle school and continued her career as a setter for North Hall High School and North Georgia Heat Volleyball Club, for a total of six years of playing experience. Megan is currently a Senior at Piedmont College and graduates this upcoming May with a Bachelor’s of Science in Athletic Training. Her coaching experience with Lanier includes working as an Assistant Coach for Lanier’s Club Program and a Head Coach for the Middle School League for three years. In addition, she has also worked many of Lanier’s Summer Programs. Her love for the sport of volleyball makes her want to give the girls she coaches the best experience while being a part of Lanier
Melinda grew up in a south suburb of Chicago, Illinois. She began playing volleyball in 6th grade and her passion for the game has grown ever since. She played as setter throughout high school and was actively involved in the intramural program at Liberty University and various recreational leagues post-college. She is excited to see her team’s love and talent for volleyball grow throughout the season. Melinda has had coaches in the past who have had a large impact on her life, both on and off the court, and hopes she can do the same for the team. Melinda serves as a coach for both the Youth and Club Programs and has coached at Lanier since its inception in 2014.
Coach Tallman played competitive volleyball for 8 years, starting in New Britain, CT at New Britain High School. She continued on as a player at Suffolk University, and participated in numerous open level outdoor and indoor tournaments. Her coaching career began at her alma mater as a recruiting coach and continued later on at Milton Academy. She has had the privilege to coach some very successful teams in her career which included All-Americans and a regional championship team. Michele has coached for over 10 years and is currently the Gainesville Middle School Head Coach and has also coached at Lanier for 2 years in both the Youth and Club programs.

Samantha is originally from North Carolina and moved to Georgia in January 2015. She was a student-athlete in college and named a Division III All American and National Statistical Champion before transferring to play at the Division I level. After graduating from UNC-Greensboro she traveled around Europe playing volleyball before pursuing her Master’s Degree at UNC-Chapel Hill in Sports Management. This will be her 8th year coaching competitive club volleyball and her coaching experience ranges from 9 years old to collegiate athletes. The highlight of her coaching career was working with Misty May-Treanor and working as a Volunteer Assistant at High Point University. Samantha now works for Adventures in Missions, pursuing her passion of world missions and discipleship. She has coached at Lanier for 2 years.
